Dr. Marnie Rogers-de Jong
My name is Dr. Marnie Rogers-de Jong. I’m a Registered Doctoral Psychologist (#1105) in Saskatchewan. I have a Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary.
I’m experienced in working with people who feel trapped by anxiety, stress, and perfectionism. My goal is to help clients challenge their fears, loosen the grip of impossible expectations, and create a life that’s meaningful for them.
I help people explore how fears and worries are affecting their lives, such as their relationships with family and friends, or how they’re doing at work or school. We look at the many different expectations they're pushing to meet, considering when they may be harmful versus helpful.
I work with clients to explore new ways of seeing the world, considering the possibilities instead of just the potential dangers. I assist people in using their existing coping strategies and building new skills, so they feel more confident handling challenging situations. My aim is to help people connect with their preferred values, so they can create the lives they truly want.
I’m committed to providing inclusive services for people of all backgrounds and social identities. I strive to practice in a culturally sensitive manner, welcoming clients of all genders, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, and religions.
Outside work, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors (although I’m still learning to embrace winter), hanging out with my friends and family, watching Netflix, and listening to true crime podcasts.
